Peer Mediation Meetings 2012-2013                                                                                  8/29/2012

 

I.                   Icebreaker – Told the group what the peak and pit of our summer was.

II.                Data Committee Presentation

-        Homeroom survey results increased by 11%, a good increase!

-        We’re aiming in increased peer mediation usage by students; we achieved a 78% increase last year!

-        Goals: Total of 50 freshman mediations and increase results for Homeroom surveys by 60%

III.             Review of Peer Mediation Presentation

-        These presentations are made for freshmen homeroom

-        They consist of a PowerPoint and a survey.

-        This is an important review, if you missed it see a leader or send Ms. Richardson or 1^st Sergeant an email to get the PowerPoint to review it.

IV.             Point System

-        Mark has developed a point system for the club.

-        This system requires a certain amount of points be reached by the end of the year.

-        Points are earned by taking part in school events with peer mediation involvement, Newcomer’s group, meeting attendance, wearing your t-shirts.

V.                Freshman Training

-        It will be October 23^rd

-        Signup to conduct interviews will be next meeting

VI.             Newcomer’s Group

-        August 31^st during 1^st and 2^nd block

-        We need 5 to 6 people, contact Avery or Anika interested (quickly though)

VII.          Leadership meeting

-        Next leadership meeting will be September 12^th

-        Everyone joined one of the groups in the club to help with the function of the club:
