Meeting Minutes

I.                   Icebreaker: Plans for the future for seniors and our summer plans

II.                The GOAL (for this year)

-          50 mediations --> we’re in the thirties now, getting there!

-          Increase knowledge gain by 50%, which was an apparent success!

III.             Biology Class Sessions

-          We want to do more, they are a success!

-          Signup sheets available for second block sessions on Friday (see Ms. Richardson or 1^st Sergeant Burns)

IV.             The GOAL “Mark II”

1.      We want to make 50 mediations again next school year

2.      Higher attendance

--> We want members to get involved, not just come to mandatory meetings

--> All members would be required to come to at least one additional activity:

=> Newcomer’s Group

=> Teaching Sessions (i.e. Biology classes, Middle School teaching)

=> New Member Training

[We want to institute an attendance point system for next year]

3.      Increase knowledge gain by 60% from Homeroom (advisement) assessments

V.                Banquet

-          Tomorrow at 6:00 pm after school

-          Contact Katie (or respond to emails) for more info

-          Be ready to provide payment if you haven’t signed up yet!

VI.             Leadership Positions

-          We discussed this today, there are a variety of them available, it looks great on a transcript to college!

-          Signed up today, if you are interested contact a leader or our sponsors 1^st Sergeant Burns or Ms. Richardson

VII.          Seniors

-          Offered their thoughts on the group

-          Pictures for seniors taken

-          Thank you for all your hard work and good luck to you all!
